Nestled in the charming village of Burniston, this characterful cottage offers a delightful retreat between the popular coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough.

Perfectly positioned for exploring the stunning Yorkshire coastline and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this welcoming home dates to the 1700s and retains many original features, including charming, beamed ceilings that add to its rustic appeal.

Stepping inside, at the front of the cottage, the cosy lounge and dining room invite you to relax in comfort. With plush seating arranged around a charming brick fireplace featuring an electric stove, this space is perfect for unwinding with a book or enjoying a warm, homely atmosphere.

You'll find a well-equipped newly fitted kitchen at the back of the cottage, ensuring you have everything needed to prepare delicious home-cooked meals.

Upstairs, the cottage offers one well-presented bedroom: a master double bedroom and a peaceful dressing room with and also offers a travel cot, both designed with comfort in mind.

Completing the upstairs layout is a modern family shower room. Outside at the front of the cottage, a small garden with a bench provides the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee in the sunshine.

To the rear, an enclosed patio offers a private space to unwind after a day of adventure.

Locality

Burniston village has a small shop for essentials just over the road from the property and a charming pub just a 3 min walk, where you can also park your vehicle on your stay.

The Oak Wheel Pub offers a quintessential English pub, boasts old-world charm and a beer garden where you can soak up the sun with a refreshing drink from real cask ales to fine wines.

The Oak Wheel also serves breakfast lunches and dinner.

Less than four miles away, the vibrant seaside town of Scarborough offers plenty of attractions, including golden beaches, the historic Scarborough Castle, Peasholm Park, and the Sea Life Centre.

A little further south, Filey is a charming coastal town known for its long sandy beach, traditional promenade, and nature reserve at Filey Brigg.

To the north, Robin Hood's Bay enchants visitors with its steep, winding streets and smuggler's history, while Whitby offers an iconic harbour, the dramatic ruins of Whitby Abbey, and the atmospheric cobbled streets of the old town.
